A typical Henley DBA student is an experienced business consultant or manager with at least five years’ experience and a Masters degree, typically with a research component. The degree also requires a certain level of intellectual humility: the willingness to take what you think you know and subject it to the rigour of academic evidence. If you’re looking for a shortcut to a title, this isn't the right fit. If you are grappling with a challenge that needs a new way of thinking, it is.
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of mid- to senior-level business management experience
A minimum entry level of a Masters degree in a relevant discipline, typically with a research component. For non-native English speakers, evidence of a Masters degree taught in English or an IELTS score of 7 (or equivalent) is also required.
As part of your application, you will need to provide a research proposal detailing your DBA research topic (1,200–1,800 words). You can consult the Research Proposal Notes document (available on request) before writing the proposal, and must select a topic from one of Henley Business School’s research areas of expertise. Topics that are not part of Henley's existing academic areas of expertise will not be considered.
