Reports to: Pro Dean Research and Doctoral Programmes
Responsible for: Supporting the Pro Dean Research and Doctoral Programmes   in growing the thought leadership output of Henley Business School Africa
Salary range: Market related
Closing date:

Building a vibrant research culture doesn't happen by accident; it happens by design. We are looking for a Research Manager who is obsessed with the mechanics of innovation. You’ll be the central nervous system of our research community, fostering collaboration across diverse teams and ensuring our academic output has the visibility and clout it deserves.

In this high-impact role, you’ll partner with the Pro Dean Research and Doctoral Programmes  to cultivate, shape and advance a research agenda that prioritises Africa-centric knowledge and real-world relevance over academic ivory towers. Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, you will work with leading academics, research centres, and external stakeholders, and manage operations and budgets to ensure Henley research leads global conversations.

 Are you Henley material?

We are looking for a commercially astute professional who thrives on the practical mechanics of getting complex things done. You will need to be an agile co-ordinator with at least eight years’ experience in a business school environment, five years’ experience in managing and co-ordinating research, and possess a deep understanding of higher education frameworks. You must also have the dynamic versatility to balance rigorous project delivery and budget management with the flair to drive high-profile thought leadership. Most importantly, you need to be a collaborative 'stakeholder whisperer' who can orchestrate impactful research events and collaborations.

If you are motivated by the opportunity to shape thought leadership and contribute to a world-class academic environment, we would love to hear from you.
